Rules
- No Pornographic Content

- One submission per team (reach out if you have questions about this)
- Make sure to credit all participants as best you can on your work
- Please make sure that at least your dialogue is in english. I don't care the quality of your english, just do your best.
- All art for this contest must be original, please avoid using popular OC's. This is to keep everyone on an even playing field
- NO AI (Both Writing AI and Art AI is not allowed, We are NOT interested)
- NO NFTs (We are absolutely NOT interested)
- No Hate Content
- No Gratuitous Violence (Death and Violence is mostly fine, but there is a point where it adds nothing to the story at all)
Submission Guidelines
- Your comic must be related to the Theme
- Feel free to use a pseudonym for your work if you wish to remain lowkey
- You must give us a way to contact you that is reliable
- For a page format comic it should be a maximum of 3 pages long
- For a scroll comic it should be a maximum of 25 panels long
- Your comic must adhere to the size restrictions in the image below. If you are making a page format comic the DPI should be about 300, for scroll you can do your usual 72 DPI you gremlins love so much.
- Please upload your comic as a JPEG so as to maintain quality and accessibility for all people. If there are multiple pages, put them in a folder and compress them if you need to

Judging Criteria
Your submission will be evaluated across these five key areas, each playing a vital role in determining the winners.
Theme
How creatively the 'ONLINE' theme is used. Doesn't need to literally be about the internet. It can be about Online Gaming, the tragedies of the internet. That one forum argument you think would make a fun short story
Judges are looking for interesting takes on the theme.
Writing
Creativity in narrative and expression. Your dialogue and story flow is how we will judge this; we want smart storytelling.
Focus on creative narrative techniques and engaging expression.
Art
Character art, background art, color composition, overall design, and technical proficiency.
Comprehensive evaluation of visual elements and artistic skill.
Panelling & Lettering
Panel layout and how it impacts flow, readability, and clarity. All typesetting and lettering should be considered.
Assessment of visual storytelling through layout and typography.
Audience Decision
Public voting category based on number of votes (different from judge categories). This is something you can influence using your social media btw. Also ise #wordsnpictures25
Community choice award determined by popular vote.
Fair & Balanced Judging
Each criterion is weighted equally in the final judging process. The Audience Decision award runs independently and is determined solely by public votes. (The stars on each comic)
